Lis Rhodes In the Kettle 2010 InterviewStructural SlipsLis Rhodes interviewed by Maria Walsh British artist Lis Rhodes has been questioning the syntax of film since the 1970s. Here she discusses the truth of the medium against the fiction of narrative, the importance of being implicated in local dissent and her recent films from within 'kettled' protests. 'It is not a matter of finding your own voice. It is more a matter of making connections and that is where one really begins to have some understanding. It has to be wider than oneself, or one is led into the possessive pronoun very quickly.'
